Assembly Technician 1 (FT/Onsite/Non-exempt)
The Assembly Tech 1 can perform their job duties independently and operate per standard work. The associate can perform some basic process changeovers and troubleshooting with some guidance or help from a supervisor. They can recognize and solve routine problems. This job operates in an air-conditioned and well-ventilated warehouse setting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints, flow diagrams, P&ID drawings, and take or read measurements to plan layout procedures.

Fabrication of assemblies from drawings; completed in a timely manner to specifications.

Welding and machining equipment proficiency preferred.
-
Ability to work in a class 100 cleanroom environment and follow all associated processes and procedures.
-
Safe care and well-being of equipment, customer property, and facilities.
-
Perform light maintenance on equipment and facilities.
-
Fabricate and assemble in accordance with internal procedures.
-
Leak testing of assemblies.
-
Perform other duties as assigned.

Set up components for orbital welding according to project specifications.
-
Weld components using the Swagelok Orbital Welder system.
-
Perform visual examination of welds and completed assembly work.
-
Maintain weld logs and filing of projects.
-
Operate other equipment to prepare the parts that must be welded.

Align components using calipers, rulers, etc. as well as clamp pieces.
-
Obtain and adhere to Swagelok certification program/policies.
-
Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety or performance.

Understands standard work and workflows.

Does not experience excessive down time and/or ask for help due to elementary problems that were overlooked.

Participates in teams and projects that contribute to the Strategic Plan.

Identifies and suggests solutions for continuous improvement opportunities across the organization.

Conducts ongoing learning in areas of policy and personal development.

Position Requirements:
Required
-
High school diploma or equivalent required.
-
Vocational Technology degree preferred.
-
Required to obtain and adhere to Swagelok certification program (may require one separate overnight travel minimum.)

Must be able to stand continuously for 8 hours a day.

Must be able to frequently lift 20 - 40 lbs. and occasionally lift 50 lbs.
Preferred
-
Shop floor experience.

Experience with nickel-based and other exotic alloys.

Basic understanding of manufacturing prints and products.
-
Mechanical Aptitude.
-
Experience in fluid systems fabrication assemblies a plus.

Understanding of gauges including calipers, go/no-go, and comparator.

Warehouse Associate (PT/Onsite/Non-exempt)
The Warehouse Assistant/Delivery Driver position is an important role tat includes deliveries to our customers, assist in receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, assist in picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing, and retrieving stock in the warehouse. This job operates in an air-conditioned and well-ventilated warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure when unloading trucks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Deliver product while ensuring customers' quality and service expectations are met.

Plans and completes and efficient delivery and pick up route for the day.

Safely and securely load merchandise onto delivery vehicles.
-
Provide exceptional customer service over the telephone, computer, or in person.
-
Process sales transactions using company software.
-
Maintain and operate company vehicle in accordance with all state and federal laws while also maintaining a responsible personal driving record.
-
Loads delivery vehicle with parcels scheduled for delivery.
-
Assist in loading and unloading freight carriers.
-
Delivers orders to correct addresses, obtaining signatures and proof of receipt when necessary.
-
Perform kitting and part change out requests.
-
Maintains basic records of truck mileage and deliveries made.
-
Ensures that delivery vehicle receives basic service according to maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor.

Assists in general warehouse and distribution duties when deliveries for the day are completed.

Clean and maintain assigned areas and equipment.
-
Assist in prioritization of projects and department activities toward department, and company objectives.

Performs other related duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Required

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Valid driver's license.
-
1 to 2 years warehouse/shipping & receiving experience preferred.

Must be able to meet the physical demands of the working environment including being able to stand and walk up to 4 hours per day and frequently lift 50 lbs.

Good verbal, listening and written communication skills.

Ability to work well with people and be able to multi-task.
-
Must have personal initiative and drive to seek out what needs to be done, or ask others what they need assistance with.

Computer Skills: Familiar with Microsoft business applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), and ability to learn company inventory software.
