Technical Account Manager (FT/Exempt/Remote)
The Technical Account Manager is a field sales and service role that sells Swagelok products and services using technical knowledge, business acumen, and selling skills to influence customers. They assist them in the proper application of our products and services resulting in revenue generation. In addition, the position provides input and participates in market and territory planning, and the development of the sales plan and other various company initiatives. This position provides technical support to end-users, to facilitate growth of sales in targeted product initiatives, and market segments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Fulfills customer and organization driven inquiries for on-site technical assistance, gathers customer application information to determine customer needs and helps guide customers with the proper selection of our products and services while assessing opportunity for additional growth. Shares the information with the team to help establish the next steps to further promote our products and services.

Develop and expand the existing customer base by executing the sales process, identifying growth opportunities within Tier 1 and Tier 2 accounts, proactively managing Tier 3 accounts, and delivering product demonstrations and solution presentations.

Servicing assigned customers at their locations, managing customer inventory, and driving sales on a routine schedule.

Engages in price management for Tier 1 and Tier 2 accounts coordinating activities with New Account Coordinator and documents and presents value impact partnership reports.

Acts as the eyes and ears of the organization, monitoring business partners for changes in leadership, direction, applications, and other opportunities for revenue growth.

Works with a team to develop proposals and solutions.

Answer customer's questions about products, prices, and availability.

Delivers sales presentations, and product demonstrations.

Be a technical resource to the customer.

Work closely with Customer Service Representatives to fulfill customer needs and orders.

Stay proficient in selling process and product features.

Monitor market conditions or trends and participate in sales forecasting and planning.

Maintain customer records by updating and maintaining CRM.

Manage assigned customer base and grow their product baskets.
- Work with other Sales Associates to develop strategies for common customers and industries.

Provide input and participate in marketing, market planning, and development of the sales plan, business reviews, and other various company initiatives.

Routinely counting and filling inventories while coordinating with customer site contacts and Sales Associates while exhibiting a high level of Swagelok presence.

Position Requirements:
Required

BS/BA in Engineering, Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and 0-2 years of related experience.

Possess a valid Driver's License with proof of insurance.

Proven organizational and planning/time management skills with the ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.

Internship or early professional experience in technical sales, account management, customer success, or technical support.

Experience working with technical products, engineering teams, or B2B customers is a plus.

Business Development Manager (FT/Exempt/Remote)
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for application and opportunity identification, new product and initiative commercialization, and qualified sales lead nurturing that leads to profitable revenue growth within Swagelok Allentown’s service area. This position drives new business relationships, identifying new business opportunities, negotiating, and closing business deals and maintaining extensive knowledge of current market conditions.
The BDM works closely with marketing and the opportunity team to identify and win new customers, and to help identify new opportunities within existing accounts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Nurture leads and sets up meetings to fill sales funnel with qualified opportunities for continued growth.
- Prospect for potential new customers and turns this into increased business.
- Develop sales documentation including but not limited to spreadsheets, correspondence, sales proposals, presentations, and internal administration for new customer proposals and presentations collaboratively with the Marketing Manager.
- Develop and implement a sales action plan with objectives and strategies to increase revenue and aggressively acquire new accounts collaboratively with Commercialization Manager.
- Execute the plan for closing opportunities.
- Identify key customer targets through use of market and data analysis, develop a strategy to penetrate and track progress made against that strategy in collaboration with the Commercialization and Marketing Manager.
- Utilize lead tracking process to ensure it is effective and producing quality opportunities and that these opportunities are closed in a timely manner.
- Provide relevant reports to management on a consistent basis.
- Creatively find new ways to introduce our business to potential customers.
- Build relationships with potential customers and identify key decision makers.
- Manage, grow, and leverage network of contacts to penetrate existing and new accounts.
- Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; and integrating contract requirements with business operations.
- Understand the customers' procurement process and leverage that knowledge to increase business in these accounts.
- Research market and industry trends (including the attendance of industry events, conferences, trade shows, etc.) to help focus efforts on highest return segments and customers.
- Present and consult with management on the market conditions along with recommendations on new services, products, channels, and messages to gain more wallet share.
- Research and understand the company's capabilities, goals, and purpose to better position Swagelok in the market.
- Schedule and participate in Marketing Events

Position Requirements:
Required

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field.

MBA or other relevant master's degree preferred.

Minimum of five (5) years of related professional experience in a relevant field.

Set up components for orbital welding according to project specifications.

Weld components using the Swagelok Orbital Welder system.

Align components using calipers, rulers, etc. as well as clamp pieces.

Obtain and adhere to Swagelok certification program/policies.

Assembly Technician 1 (FT/Onsite/Non-exempt)
The Assembly Tech 1 can perform their job duties independently and operate per standard work. The associate can perform some basic process changeovers and troubleshooting with some guidance or help from a supervisor. They can recognize and solve routine problems. This job operates in an air-conditioned and well-ventilated warehouse setting.
